OUR PART # REPLICATOR
Acheive genuine analog tape echoes and delays without the need for bulky tape equipment with the T-Rex Replicator. Housed in a compact, pedalboard-friendly chassis, this analog tape delay is equipped with a cassette deck with two record heads, a playback head, and an erase head for true analog tape capabilities. One of the playback heads is controllable via the onboard tap tempo, and the second playback head is independently bypassable if needed., and its delay time is dependent on the tape speed (delay time) and its effect on the sound will vary with the delay time. Plus, when the entire pedal is bypassed, both playback heads are turned off to avoid unnecessary wear.
The Replicator is equipped with multiple controls for different parameters such as Saturation, which drives the record head into saturation, for tape compression-style effects. The Chorus on the Replicator is a built-in tape modulation control to vary the tape speed in very small amounts, which results in pitch modulation of the delays. The Feedback adjustment on this pedal adjusts the amount of feedback on both delays, which can make the unit self-oscillate, and the Delay Time is adjustable from 8ms to 3sec or can be tapped. The Master Boost is the final stage before the output of the Replicator and goes from unity gain to +20dB boost for an overall volume boost if needed.
This pedal is powered by 24VDC to allow for ample headroom, and the true 85kHz, 60V bias oscillator ensures pre-magnitization of the cassette tape. The cassette tape included with this pedal is a C30 1/8" chrome tape for extra long life, but if the need arises, the tape is easily replaceable by simply unscrewing the tape holder, pull the lever, and take out the old tape and replace it with a new one, and you're good to go.
This pedal is handcrafted in Denmark and features an all-metal chassis to withstand the rigors of the road.
