DAS EVENT-118A Active 1x18" Subwoofer

The EVENT-118A is a powerful powered subwoofer system featuring a front-loaded 18” low-frequency transducer developed by DAS for precise and deep bass reinforcement. Designed as the companion subwoofer for the EVENT-28A, it shares a compatible rigging system, enabling seamless integration for flown or stacked setups.

The 18FWN 18″ loudspeaker, optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and utilizing neodymium magnets for reduced weight, ensures high efficiency and long excursion with its extended 3″ voice coil. With a power handling capacity of 2000 Wpeak, this design delivers impactful bass, facilitated by efficient cooling through a vented pole piece and apertures in the back plate, minimizing power compression and enabling extended high acoustic output.

The system, driven by a cutting-edge 2000 Wpeak Class D amplifier, is well-suited for various settings. Neutrik® XLR input connectors and stereo «loop thru» outputs provide signal continuity, with digital presets accessible via the DAScontrol™ interface for quick and user-friendly system configuration. The EVENT-118A also offers cardioid presets for pairs or groups of three units, reducing rearward sound radiation and optimizing bass coverage.

Constructed from Birch plywood and finished with DAS ISO-flex protective coating, the robust enclosure ensures durability for both installation and touring applications. The fully compatible rigging hardware allows versatile configurations, including flying or stacking. Additionally, a top-mounted pole mount socket supports combo configurations with the EVENT-28A or other compatible full-range systems.
