Yorkville YCV4050 40 Watt All-tube Guitar Combo – 20th Anniversary

Traynor Amplifiers marks the 20th Anniversary of the iconic YCV40 tube amp with the YCV4050.

In the year 2000, as the world prepared for the Y2K scare, Traynor, the renowned amplifier manufacturer in Canada, continued its legacy by crafting an award-winning tube amp. The YCV40, introduced in 2000, went on to become the longest-running series in Traynor's 56-year history.

After a decade without a new guitar amp, Traynor's return had to be not just nostalgic but relevant to the current market. The YCV 40 achieved international success and received the Editor's Pick from Guitar Player Magazine in 2001.

Following the YCV40, the YCV50B gained recognition for its modern tone and the addition of a Master Volume control. The YCV4050, celebrating the 20th anniversary, inherits the Master Volume control and the option to switch between "Vintage" and "Modern" tones.

Crafted in Canada, the YCV4050 features a 12-inch Celestion Creamback speaker and hand-selected 12AX7 and 6L6GC tubes. Its Auto-matching tube circuit ensures a bias balance as tubes age, providing hum-free performance throughout their lifespan.

To mark the special occasion, the YCV4050 boasts an emerald green leatherette finish, oatmeal grill, and distinctive chicken beak knobs.
