The unit's internal mic pattern is omnidirectional, which means it's very forgiving when the placement is less than perfect, and it will always capture clear, intelligible dialog. You can use the mics separately in stereo or together in mono depending on the application. When you record two-person exchanges in stereo, you'll have more flexibility in post-production, where you can separate each voice and even add different effects (sold separately). A convenient receiver-mounted headphone output allows you to monitor the sound while recording. Plus, you can record a safety track at a lower volume. That way there's always a backup in case a level spike ruins the perfect take.

The receiver features an integrated touchscreen for configuration and adjustments while also displaying battery life, record status, and wireless signal strength. Each transmitter has a 5-hour runtime while the receiver operates for 5.5 hours before needing a charge. The system can be charged in the field with the included charging case, so you can get in a full day of creation without looking for power.
