Physical design upgrades include a re-engineered rotating mechanism for the V44S dual-capsule, expanding the rotation range to 120º for precise angle adjustment. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, each microphone undergoes rigorous testing in sunny Southern California before being hand-packed, ensuring robustness and reliability. The V44S features twin extra-large 34mm edge-terminated, gold-sputtered 3µm Mylar dual-capsule assemblies, custom-voiced with a proprietary hand-tuning process. Its transformerless solid-state circuit, cryogenically treated components, and US-made low-noise audiophile-grade resistors contribute to an almost undetectable noise floor. Aesthetically the V44 gen2 features a gorgeous precision-machined stainless steel body finished with a signature Pinot Noir coating, polished nickel trim, and a laser-engraved serial number. Designed for versatility, both capsules offer cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 pickup patterns, enabling various stereo miking techniques.
