If you don't have a free pair of outlets but need to power a low-current high-voltage pedal, you need the Booster Flex cable. An integrated step-up converter doubles the available voltage of the outlet it's drawing power from. Plug the Booster into an open 9V outlet to drive an 18V pedal or a 12V outlet to power a 24V pedal. It should only be used with pedals requiring a current draw below 50mA like wha and drive pedals. The type 1 cable has a center-negative (Boss Standard) 5.5/2.1mm DC plug for use with 8V Dunlop Wah pedals, some MXR pedals, Fulltone OCD and others.
When using Booster Flex. There is a risk of damaging one of your 9V pedals by powering it with too high a voltage. Check the specifications of the pedal and if you still have some questions, you’re welcome to send an e-mail to [email protected] and get some useful information.
