In 2010, Neumann introduced the KH 120 A, marking the start of an enduring success story. Neumann monitoring has since established itself as the preferred choice in numerous studios worldwide. The KH 120 II adheres to the same philosophy as its predecessor and all Neumann studio monitors, focusing on achieving the highest linearity, minimal distortion, absence of coloration, and adaptability to any acoustic environment. Thanks to enhanced performance in all aspects and a robust DSP engine, the KH 120 II enables you to perceive your tracks with even greater clarity and work more efficiently. Create mixes that seamlessly translate across all playback systems effortlessly.
The KH 120 II boasts an impressively linear frequency response spanning from 44 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). But that's not all; it also delivers phase response linearity, resulting in clear mids with exceptional transparency and unrivaled accuracy in the time domain. This includes precise impulse replication and finely detailed reverberations. This is made possible by DSP-controlled electronics, which utilize advanced crossovers to eliminate the phase distortion introduced by analog filters. The internal DSP also sets new standards in tonal consistency, maintaining tolerances of no more than ±0.5 dB. The outcome is evident in the razor-sharp stereo imaging.
Designed for nearfield applications with an ideal listening distance of 1 – 2 meters (3 – 6 ft.), the KH 120 II is well-suited for smaller spaces such as home and project studios, mixing and editing suites, and as a surround speaker in expansive multichannel setups. Due to its exceptional linearity in a portable form, the KH 120 II is also an excellent choice for establishing a professional-quality makeshift control room when working on location, be it for orchestral recordings, live performances, film, or broadcasting.
