DW’s innovative DWSM105 HardCore kick drum beater incorporates a hard plastic core surrounded by a soft foam rubber pad. Adjusting the amount of contact the core has to the drumhead allows different levels of attack. When you hit it hard you get the attack of a wood or hard plastic beater, and when you back off you get the response of a felt beater.
