800 watts of pure Class-D power that weighs 8 lbs, the Hartke LX8500 does the heavy lifting so you can drive the band.
A 12AX7 tube preamp brings out the true character of your bass so you can sculpt it with the tone stack EQ before handing it off to 800 watts of real output power. The Hartke Tone Stack features a Shape knob that gives you precise control over midrange, as well as a brite button to boost high frequencies and highlight natural harmonic overtones for a distinct, vivid sound.
Every bass needs compression, and better you dial it in than someone else. The LX8500 has an onboard compresser so front of house gets punch, pressence, and consistency, instead of an unpredictable or squashed bass tone. Speaking of tone, the 8500 also has a front panel drive control that you can use to give your bass a 5 o'clock shadow, or max it out to achieve full fuzz! Both the compressor and drive are footswitchable thanks to dedicated rear panel jacks.
The LX8500 plays well with others thanks to a variety of I/O options, including an XLR direct out with a pre and post EQ selections for direct connection to a PA or recording console. There's an 1/8” headphone output that's ideal for silent practice sessions and an 1/8” auxiliary input can be used to connect phones or MP3 players.
