Product Overview

When is a guitar synth more than a guitar synth? When it's the Boss SY-1000.

The SY-1000 dynamic synth not only contains all the oscillators, filters, and more you need to create and shape your sound, it also comes with virtual bass, guitar, instrument, and amp modeling.

Boss GK independent string processing means the SY-1000 will track your playing with no annoying latency so you can actually play the synth riffs that are in your head. A standard SY-1000 patch includes three simultaneous instruments, each with a number of distinctive types to choose from and you can combine and layer them for an endless range of sounds. In addition to the 13-pin GK input you can also plug a standard 1/4" cable in and blend your normal guitar or bass sounds with the synth instruments.

Two available step sequencers, each with 16 customizable steps controlling pitch, filter, and amplitude, deliver a pallete of unrivaled sonic possibilities. Each of the 16 steps has 13 envelope curves, add to that the ability to stack 3 synths using 3 oscillators and you have a massive moving sound from 6 separate step sequencers.

The eight footswitches provide dedicated control over patches, banks, and parameters but can be reassigned to control any function you want. Up to four external footswitches or two expression pedals are supported, and MIDI I/O is provided as well. Their are two pair of stereo outputs that can be configured as four separate outputs with EQ on each, plus an effects loop so you can use all of your favorite external gear.

Just because it's a synth doesn't mean your guitar's real personality can't shine through. The SY-1000 is loaded with a large selection of electric, acoustic, and bass guitar types, each with independent tuning, EQ, virtual amp settings, and more. Add effect processing drived from the flagship GT-1000 and you have all you need to fully express your entire guitar self in one convenient pedal!
