Clear-Com CC-220-X5 is part of their CC-220 line of a premium versatile light-weight headsets that are all designed and built to provide exceptional audio quality, as well as comfort and ease of use – made to suit a range of communications applications. This particular model is the -X5 version which comes equipped with a 5-pin Male XLR connector.
Featuring a double-ear headphone design, the CC-220 series is a high performance headphone with a cardioid dynamic microphone that offers high-quality audio.
Easily adjustable to accommodate the preference of any user, these headsets' microphone boom features a 300° rotation, so the microphone can be worn either on the left or right side of the head. Slide adjusts on either side of the headband enable users to alter the headset for larger or smaller sizes, plus super-soft leatherette or foam padding (both types included) cushions the ear, all delivering a comfortable fit. Additionally, a rotating, flexible gooseneck is included for optimal positioning.
The headset microphone can be switched on and off by simply moving the microphone boom. Just pull the boom gently downwards (past the 10 o’clock/2 o’clock position) to turn ON the mic, or gently push the boom upwards (above the 10 o’clock/2 o’clock position) to turn OFF the microphone.
Here's another great feature, allowing the cabling and connector type to quickly be adapted to the application. Users can order cables with different XLR connector choices and appropriate pin-outs (additional/alternate cables sold separately). To change the connector cable in the field, just disconnect it from the headset and exchange it using a standard Phillips screwdriver. The same procedure can be used to repair and replace a damaged cable while on the fly.
