This works great just like all of my older G3 wireless handhelds, with which it is interchaneable. The only quibbles are that the threads on the battery cover weren't smooth, so it sounds/feels gritty and there was a little bit of a pop or skip just before it fully tightened. And they switched from steel to aluminum so it doesn't feel as hefty as the G3 units, making it feel a little cheap.
