Soundcraft ViLR-48C5 48kHz Cat5 Local Rack for Use with Vi5000/7000

The Soundcraft 5059731HU local rack is comprised of a 6U processing and I/O unit, developed by Studer, called the SCore. Underneath is a 3U low-noise

cooling fan unit. Also included is an Active Breakout Unit, that provides direct audio connections for local use and for connection to the Control Surface, and another Breakout Panel for convenient MADI connections for Stageboxes. The SCore unit is made up of two sections: the upper 3U section houses the DSP mixing core, and the lower 3U section houses the local audio I/O and also the connections to the remote Stage Box. The audio processing inside the SCore is independent of the control surface. The Local Rack has an integral fan unit to ensure reliable operation.

The fan status is monitored from the console GUI and provides a warning if there is a problem with any fan motors. There are also status LEDs on the front panel of the SCore unit.
