The Westcott 1833 6' x 6' Scrim Jim® Cine frame includes (4) 46" heavy-duty tubes, (4) 22" heavy-duty tubes, (4) 2" spacers, (4) corner connectors, and a strap for storage. When combined with 6' x 6' Scrim Jim Cine fabrics (sold separately), this frame will let you bounce, deflect, block, diffuse, and cut light either on-set and on-location. The Westcott Scrim Jim Cine is a complete modular framework designed for photographers and filmmakers. It's the ultimate light control system, giving users the capability of building and creating various tools they may need for whatever lighting situations they encounter.
Made from heavy-duty anodized aluminum, the innovative design ensures a durable, yet portable, lightweight form. The heavy-duty touch fastener is riveted to 2 sides of each tube, allowing users quick, effortless mounting of Scrim Jim Cine Fabrics, Flex Portable Softboxes, and Flex LED Mats (all sold separately). Plus, a built-in 3/8-16 thread on each Scrim Jim Cine frame tube allows for instant mounting to arms and stands.
Scrim Jim's frames are designed to be configured in sizes from 1'x 1' up to 8' x 8'. Frame pieces vary in size from 10" tubes and upward, allowing users to fit an entire scrim system into a backpack or carry-on. A range of connection pieces provide endless frame possibilities, letting users build diffusion boxes, v-flats, floppy cutters, book lights, and more with ease, and offer interchangeability with all Scrim Jim Cine Frame sets, along with Scrim Jim Cine tubes, connectors, and fabrics (sold separately).
These frames and connectors are proudly built in the U.S.A. Product inspection and touch fastener installation is done at Lott Industries in Toledo, Ohio, which partners with the local Board of Developmental Disabilities to provide high-quality and engaging employment for individuals with mental disabilities.
