Apollo Design Technology offers the AP-GEL-4850, which is an Apollo Bluetylicious gel sheet which produces an even tone blue green color. Suggested uses for this gel filter include moments when you need a moonlight scene/setting. Also late afternoon skylight, but not good on some skin tones. In general, good for most scenic colors.

Production companies and photographic markets use these plastic filters to add color to stage scenery and to provide color correction for theatre, film, and television. Gel creates mood by changing the color shade of light. This filter is intended for short-term use, usually 6-10 hours.

• There are two widely-accepted gel manufacturing processes: double-coated and deep dyed. Apollo gel is double-coated because many designers appreciate the color consistency found in the double-coated process.
• All diffusions decrease light intensity.
