CAD's E40 is a medium-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for use with acoustic instruments, percussion, and vocals. The microphone features a supercardioid polar pattern that effectively reduces unwanted ambient sounds from the rear and sides. Additionally, the E40 comes equipped with a low-profile shockmount that enables hassle-free positioning of the microphone in any space.

The E40's nickel-plated 0.62" capsule is highly durable and boasts exceptional sensitivity for accurate and nuanced audio reproduction. It has low distortion and can handle high sound pressure levels up to 125 dB when the -10 dB pad is activated. The microphone also includes a built-in 100 Hz high-pass filter that helps to eliminate muddy frequencies and low-frequency rumbling caused by handling noise. Finally, the E40 runs on 48V phantom power, which is a standard feature provided by most mixers and audio interfaces.
