The BP898 is an ideal lavalier microphone for stage and television talent, lecturers, and worship leaders. This low-profile cardioid condenser is available with terminations for wired or wireless use, offering the ultimate flexibility and strength and resisting abrasion and moisture. With a wide dynamic range and tolerance for high sound pressure levels, the microphone ensures intelligible, natural-sounding audio every time. The cardioid element enhances the proximity effect when used at close range, imparting fullness to the user’s voice. This low-frequency enhancement drops off when the microphone is used at a distance, providing a clear and focused sound. The cable is made of a robust urethane elastomer, providing flexibility and strength use after use. The mic comes with a clothing clip that features two strain-relief points that isolate the mic from noise transferred over the cable. The package includes two windscreens, each featuring a clasp that secures the windscreen to the mic, preventing it from blowing off in critical situations, such as at sporting events. The 55" (1.4 m) permanently attached cable is terminated with a locking 4-pin connector for use with Audio-Technica cW-style body-pack wireless transmitters; no power module is required.
