The BC-W3-8-9 offers a dependable and secure overhead rigging point for regular structural wood and Glulam overhead beams. This durable, three-piece, all-steel design is suitable for beam depths of 9 inches (230 mm) or more and widths ranging from 3 to 8 inches (76-200 mm).

Its hang point eye is affixed to a load-bearing channel situated beneath the center of the wood beam, with the ability to swivel in the direction of the force to minimize lateral stress when the load is not vertically aligned or is offset from the center.

Two side plates can be fastened to the wood beam using lag bolts or through bolts, depending on the specific application. When in doubt, it is advisable to consult with a structural engineer to determine the optimal attachment method for safety.

These side plates provide support for the load channel below, allowing it to smoothly pass through both side plates and then be permanently secured with two angle tabs. This design ensures a stable and reliable connection for suspended loads.
