Cubase Elements 12 is a streamlined version of Steinberg's venerable Cubase DAW, a favorite of professional artists, producers, and composers for decades. Now you can get into the world of Cubase and turn your computer into a powerful music studio with Cubase Elements 12.

New features and workflow enhancements in Cubase Elements 12 take you from vision to inspiration realized easier and faster than ever. Audio to MIDI chords detects chords captured on an audio track then displays the progression for you, blurring the line between audio and MIDI and putting the focus on the music.

Cubase Elements 12 embraces MIDI as never before with MIDI Remote integration. Integrated MIDI Remote Scritps allow Elements 12 to auto-detect and map your device's controls. If a script does not yet exist, one can quickly be created and mapped with the MIDI control surface editor and Mapping Assistant.

The editing workflow has also been improved with new functions and key commands. A new nudge grid operates separately from the product grid for quick precise palcement within the edit window. Updated selection tool key commands and added fades when sizing events allows you to work faster and smarter. Cubase Elements 12 also features Native Apple Silicon support and no longer requires a USB eLicenser for operation.

Featuring the same 64-bit floating-point audio engine that drives the entire Cubase family, Elements captures audio at resolutions up to 96 kHz faithfully capturing and reproducing the natural character of each input source.
