Product Overview
The second sibling in Blackmagic's HyperDeck Studio family, the HyperDeck Studio HD Plus is larger than the HD Mini with room for more controls and connections.
The HD Plus adds 6G-SDI capability on one input with a pair of direct outs and a loop out plus an additional 3G-SDI out for monitoring. HDMI in/out is also included for connection to cameras, projectors and TVs. The added 6G-SDI ability means you can record and playback ProRes up to Ultra HD 30fps with HDR (High Dynamic Range). Convenient audio monitoring is possible via a front-panel headphone output for quick verification.
The HyperDeck Studio HD PLus records compressed video files onto SD/UHS-II cards or external USB disks in SD/HD formats to 2160p30. This makes the HD mini ideal for broadcast transfer and archiving or recording masters. HyperDeck Studio HD Plus is also perfect for digital signage thanks to HDMI output and a built-in sync generator that allows you to combine multiple HyperDecks (sold separately) for large multiscreen video walls.
SDI in and out makes it possible to combine a rack of SHyperDeck Studios (sold separately) for ISO recording (isolation recording). You can even sync cameras to the SDI output while the SDI input provides frame sync.
The transport controls are modeled after a traditional deck transport with a dedicated dial for jog, shuttle, and scroll. Adding to the ease of operation there's a 2.2" full-color LCD that shows a preview of the current clip with timecode, transport, and other vital information.
Dual front-panel SD/UHS-II card slots provide for non-stop recording with hot-swap capability so you can be sure to capture everything. It's also possible to record directly to large capacity USB-C flash disks or a disk array to eliminate time wasted copying files. Take a step up to The HyperDeck Studio HD Plus.
