LD Systems CURV500S2 2 x Single Array Satellites for CURV 500 Portable & Install

This accessory package is designed to extend or enhance an existing CURV 500® system. The satellites, measuring 12 x 12 cm, are constructed from black die-cast aluminum and deliver exceptional sound quality. This is accomplished through the implementation of a single 4-inch midrange driver and three 1-inch high-frequency drivers. Utilizing LD Systems' WaveAhead® technology, the tweeters are positioned vertically in front of the high-performance full-range speaker, enabling optimal sound mixing and dispersion. The horizontal dispersion angle spans 110 degrees, providing wide coverage, while the vertical dispersion is limited to 10 degrees per satellite, minimizing unwanted reflections on ceilings and floors. A passive crossover set at 2500 Hz ensures the most effective allocation of the frequency spectrum.

The system employs the patented SmartLink® plug-in mechanism, enabling quick and cable-free assembly of up to four array satellites. The satellites themselves are ruggedly built, featuring robust metal grilles with rear tensioning acoustic material to safeguard the drivers. They possess an impedance of 16 ohms and weigh 1.73 kg. The matte-black powder-coated surface not only enhances durability but also lends the satellites an elegant appearance. Additionally, for fixed installations, an M3 screw connection is provided for attaching a safety rope.
