The AKG C636 WL1 microphone head is designed to withstand the rigors of on-stage use. It incorporates a proprietary double shock suspension system to greatly reduce handling noise, even during the most extreme on-stage performances. Its capsule rides on a highly absorbent rubber bearing, preventing any structure-based noise, while an adjustable balancing network cancels vibration. Additionally, a substantial brass layer below the capsule acts as a counterweight that increases stability and delivers cleaner acoustics.
