Here's a great Value Package presented by DiGiCo with Full Compass
This package includes an S21 console combined with their D-Rack 32/8 Input/Output (I/O) unit, offering a great value.
S21 Digital Audio Console
The S21 from DiGiCo highlights their innovative audio console design approach. Implementing newer, lower-costing FPGA components programmed with the same audio algorithms as the renowned SD9, in concert with a newer type of control processor, DiGiCo is now capable of incorporating their fundamental technological quality and road-worthy design values at the S21's core. Running in harmony with the FPGA core is a newly-designed ARM QuadCore RISC processor. It's an efficient tool that delivers faster processing with lower power consumption, and combined with the audio core, has enabled the development of this cost-effective console that's worthy of carrying the DiGiCo brand to existing—as well as new—owners and users.
D-Rack Stagebox I/O unit
Provides 32 mic inputs, 8 line outputs and 8 optional modular outputs that can be selected as either analog or AES, providing a maximum capacity of 32 ins and 16 outs (optional output units sold separately). When employing a digital CAT5E cable for connection to the console work surface, the analog multicore's noise and hum is eliminated. Additionally, the D-Rack can run at 96 kHz on CAT5E with 28 mic inputs and up to 16 outputs.
The D-Rack also offers the options of Rack mount ears, an extra PSU (for redundancy) and fiber optic connection (options sold separately).
DiGiCo: The Standard for Audio Quality, Innovation and Advanced Technology
Since it's beginning in 2002, DiGiCo has always strived to innovate and push technology that delivers more in terms of versatility and audio quality. There are numerous highlights, but two that immediately come to mind: DiGiCo was the first console manufacturer to use TFT touch screen technology, and then went on to pioneer Stealth Digital Processing's FPGA technology to replace DSP as the main audio processor. Stealth Digital Processing has been a key component in the SD Series range, where, in a recent independent survey, DiGiCo played a pivotal role in eight of the top ten international grossing tours of 2014; ample evidence that when it comes to live sound consoles, DiGiCo pioneers the way. 'Cutting edge' means leading the world against the norm by demonstrating what can be realized with new, unharnessed technology. That's exactly what the vision of FPGA and Stealth Digital Processing promised and the thousands of users today can confirm. The flexibility of being able to reprogram devices from switch-on to take advantage of new compiling tools has allowed the SD range functionality to expand beyond expectation.
