Today, it's an iconic instrument immediately identified with the legendary guitarist. As part of the Premium series from Ibanez, the JEM7VP continues that tradition, offering a high quality instrument created for the working pro.

It starts with an Alder body highlighting tonal clarity, and is covered in a high-gloss pure White finish with gold hardware. The Wizard 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck with KTS™ TITANIUM rods includes Jumbo frets finished with the Premium Fret Edge Treatment, delivering performance that's smooth and comfortable.

It has an elegant Tree of Life inlay that prominently stretches along the guitar's contrasting Ebony fretboard. It's equipped with DiMarzio® Evolution® humbucker pickups in its bridge and neck positions, along with a DiMarzio® Evolution® single coil pickup in the middle position, all working to provide a range of rock tones. The JEM7VP will allow you to scream or moan with the Edge tremolo bridge and groundbreaking Lion’s Claw tremolo cavity, enabling pitches to be radically raised or lowered with no obstruction. A gig bag is included.

Steve Vai

Steve Vai is a virtuoso guitarist, visionary composer, and consummate producer who sculpts musical sound with infinite creativity and technical mastery. At age 12, he started taking guitar lessons from Joe Satriani. At 18, he began his professional musical career transcribing for, and then playing with, the legendary Frank Zappa. More than three decades, 15-million in album sales, and three GRAMMY Awards later, Vai has proven himself, in his own right, one of music's true originals.

Vai's work has been recognized with a long list of awards, including an even dozen from Guitar Player. Most recently, the TEC Foundation honored him with the prestigious Les Paul Award, created in 1991 to salute those who have set the highest standard of excellence in the creative application of technology. Past winners include Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Herbie Hancock, Steely Dan, and Bob Clearmountain.
