Apollo Design Technology ME-6091 Round Scattered Windows Steel Gobo

Gobos can create a mood, establish a location all by using a beam of light shinning thru the pattern. The ME-6091 from Apollo Design is a metal gobo that produces a Round Scattered Windows shape in a white pattern when the resulting light hits a surface. A color filter can be added to the fixture if color is desired, and adding movement or rotation can add a dramatic effect.

Cost effective and durable, metal gobos by Apollo Design allow you to create scenic elements in theater and stage, or add a personal touch to an event. Metal gobos from Apollo are laser cut out of stainless steel. Metal gobos require “bridging” which are very small lines that connect the internal structure of letters and designs. If bridging is not added, enclosed areas, such as the inside of the letter “O”, would fall out. (It’s like carving a pumpkin.) Apollo adds the appropriate bridging to your design before production.

Apollo metal gobos are made from 8 mil stainless steel with a high level of nickel and chromium. This type of steel produces a very durable gobo with fine detail image and a long life. Competitor’s gobos are made from 5 mil stainless steel with a high level of carbon. The carbon begins to oxidize (rust) and breakdown faster than a gobo made from steel with nickel and chromium. A magnet requires carbon steel to stick. A magnet will not stick to an Apollo gobo. However, since competitor’s use carbon steel to make their gobos, it'll stick.
