A ‘micro switcher’ that’s small enough to fit into equipment cases and camera bags, the versatile V-02HD multi-format video mixer from Roland replaces several standalone units; it's a simple switcher, high-quality scaler, input expander, audio solution and inline video effects / composition. The portable-yet-powerful unit lets you save on space and headaches to concentrate on producing your event or shooting your scenes, rather than trouble-shooting your gear. Its lightweight design makes it great for mobile video applications too, especially when hooked up to third-party battery packs (sold separately) for longer location-based shoots.

Dual camera / single operator productions - V-02HD

With limited budgets, small production crews, and tight delivery deadlines, simple 2-camera shoots can be stressful – even for experienced operators. Recording or streaming onsite with a live switcher enables you present an immediate deliverable to client, and the V-02HD makes the entire process quick, easy and fluid for the camera operator.

It takes the HDMI output from 2 cameras and seamlessly switches to a connected recorder or livestreaming encoder. The operator can switch between cameras employing the dedicated controls or even using their feet, via a connected footswitch that enables a continued and seamless camera operation workflow. Audio from both cameras and external sources can be mixed together within the unit and monitored using dedicated headphone output. Finally, the resulting mix is embedded with the video switch and output over HDMI. It transforms a 2-camera shoot into a small single-person production studio, for dependable recording or live-streaming, while incorporating minimal resources.
