Yamaha RX-S602BL Slimline 5.1 Channel AV Receiver with MusicCast

Offering wireless surround capability and Alexa voice control in a slim, compact form, Yamaha's RX-S602 is a high-quality 5.1-channel network AV receiver with enhanced functionality and advanced features.

It supports a traditional 5.1-channel wired setup for powerful surround sound, while also giving you the option of going wireless with a new technology called MusicCast Surround. An enhancement of Yamaha's MusicCast wireless multi-room audio system, MusicCast Surround allows a user to build an AV receiver-based 5.1-channel surround sound system with wired speakers for the front channels and wireless speakers for the surrounds.

Additionally, the RX-S602 features voice control via Amazon Alexa-equipped devices, such as the Echo and Echo Dot smart speakers, through the use of free MusicCast skills available on the Alexa Skills Store. Providing complete compatibility with the latest HDMI standards, the receiver delivers transmission of 4K video at 60 frames/second pass-through. It also supports HDR (high dynamic range) video including Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma.

The RX-S602 also comes fully-loaded with wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, Apple AirPlay® and Spotify Connect. It supports numerous built-in streaming services, including Spotify, Pandora®, SiriusXM Internet Radio, TIDAL, Deezer, Napster and thousands of free internet radio stations, all accessible via the free MusicCast app.

Yamaha-exclusive sound technologies, such as YPAO auto-calibration and Cinema DSP, are also featured in the RX-S602. YPAO analyzes the room acoustics and your system, then precisely adjusts various audio parameters to provide the best sound for your room, while Cinema DSP 3D allows you to easily create sound fields like actual movie theaters or concert halls in your room. The RX-S602 also comes equipped with Zone 2 audio, which sends audio to a speaker pair in another room from a source independent of the source playing in the main listening room.
