Product Overview
Built with three 1/3-type Exmor R CMOS image sensors, Sony's PXW-Z190 allows you to shoot with 4K 50p/60p* recording capability thru a 25x zoom lens and utilize an advanced Face Detection AF. The image sensors capture RGB light independently to delivery 4K 50p/60p imagery with high resolution and a wide range of gradation. In HD shooting, 4:2:2 10-bit ensures vivid and rich color content.
The PXW-Z190 is equipped with a 25x professional zoom lens able to zoom from 28.8mm to 720mm (35mm equivalent), with three independent control rings, which allows manual control of focus, zoom and iris, making for better and faster adjustment. The image can be enlarged without any picture degradation in an HD mode and a 50x zoom equivalent image is captured with sensor cropping extender. Further complimenting this handheld camcorder is the Face Detection AF, selectable from Face Priority AF or Face Only AF. Simply keep the person in frame and however you move to obtain a better angle, you can be confident the PXW-Z190 will keep your subject in pin-sharp focus.
With regards to workflow, the PXW-Z190 comes with 5GHz* and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi as standard – simply turn on and log onto your preferred network. Install the free ‘Content Browser Mobile’ app** on your smartphone to operate the camera remotely controlling Iris, Zoom, Focus WB and other functions from the palm of your hand. One-touch authentication is also possible with smartphones that offer NFC connectivity.
