Product Overview

A member of the DPA Microphones 4088 family which features one of the clearest, consistent, and most robust miniature mics you'll find on the market, the 4288-DC-F-F00-MH is a beige-colored cardioid headset mic that comes equipped with a 100mm (3.9") boom which will accommodate varying uses and head sizes. This particular model comes equipped with a MicroDot connector, allowing versatile connection options via DPA's flexible adapter system, which enables compatibility with 3rd-party wireless systems on the market (wireless systems sold separately).

Its cardioid, directional polar pickup pattern provides superb off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations, as well as efficient suppression of distant sound sources, making it ideal for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns.

The mic capsule is a first-order pre-polarized pressure-gradient transducer hidden in a small and lightweight housing. Its sleek, elegant design puts it among the most invisible head-worn cardioid microphones available, and it's mountable on either the right or left side.

The legacy 4088 is renowned for performing across a wide dynamic range as well as delivering low distortion across all SPLs. DPA's updated amplifier technology enables you to squeeze even more performance out of your mics with an additional 14 dB THD and Dynamic range.

From a whisper to a scream, you'll experience increased clarity and openness, so users will get more flexibility because a wider dynamic range enables a single mic to capture a wider range of sounds and in more varied applications. Additionally, 4288 microphones deliver water and moisture resistance through nano coating and hermetic sealing of sensitive internal electronics.

With the wide selection of available adapters from DPA for popular wireless systems (sold separately), you get simple, affordable, and flexible options when using the MicroDot termination. No longer are you bound to one single wireless system. So as your circumstances change, you can just swap your adapter instead of having to incur the cost of purchasing a completely new mic. And of course, after you make the switch, you won't hear any loss or other alteration of sound quality.

The d:fine series of miniature microphones is designed to work with all leading wireless mic solutions via the appropriate adapter, including Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Zaxcom, and many more (all transmitters as well as additional adapters sold separately). It protects your investment in superb sound for years to come.
