Product Overview

Designed for touring and live-sound applications, AKG's CM311 is a reference head-worn condenser microphone that sounds like the best handheld microphones: full, clear, and distortion-free, even when used by the loudest singers. Differoid is derived from differential cardioid, which by design cancels ambient noise from floor monitors, crowds, and other sources. The results of controlled field tests show that the Differoid setup provides up to 12 dB additional gain before feedback vs. conventional cardioid mics. Many CM311 users say that their house mix is better due to the mic?'s nearly complete isolation. The CM311 L includes a 3-pin mini XLR connecter which fits all AKG wireless body-pack transmitters.
