Product Overview

The DPA Microphones d:screet™ 4061 Miniature Microphones are made to adapt to your needs. They're versatile workhorses with eminent sound quality, a large range of accessories, adapters available for all pro wireless systems, and are the obvious choice for any application requiring a big sound and a small footprint. This particular model [4061-OL-C-C00] features an omnidirectional polar pickup pattern, comes in a brown finish, and includes a MicroDot connector which allows wireless mic adapter interchangeability (Note: for full mic functionality, an appropriate adapter is required and sold separately, please refer to "Adapter System Flexibility" section below).

Originally designed for use with wireless systems in theater, television, and close-miked instrument applications, the d:screet 4061 miniature mics are highly unobtrusive. Because of their small size, these tiny condensers exhibit an exceedingly accurate omnidirectional pattern and therefore do not need to be aimed directly at the sound source to achieve quality pickup.

The d:screet 4061 is acoustically identical to the 4060, but the sensitivity is adjusted to match some of the more sensitive transmitters on the market.

With very low noise and an extremely high sensitivity, the d:screet Miniature Mics offer the most clear, transparent, and natural sound available on the miniature mic market. The mics are capable of handling up to 144 dB peak before clipping, and with a linear response and low distortion and an extremely large dynamic range, they sound great no matter the application.

The d:screet 4061 miniature mics are designed to withstand even the toughest of conditions. DPA's unique Double Vent Protection System allows for a great resistance to humidity and sweat. DPA's d:screet Miniature Omnidirectional Mics design features a reinforced cable relief which is built to stand up to the constant twists, bends, and pulls that are part of the everyday use. And with a gold-treated diaphragm and microphone housing as well as a kevlar-reinforced cable, the d:screets are made to endure.

With wireless adapters for wireless systems available from from DPA (sold separately), you get simple, affordable, and flexible options to use with the MicroDot termination. No longer are you bound to one single wireless system. So as your circumstances change, you can just swap your adapter instead of having to take on the cost of purchasing a completely new mic. And of course, after you make the switch, you won't hear any loss or other altering of sound quality.

The d:screet series of miniature microphones is designed to work with all leading wireless mic solutions via the appropriate adapter, including Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Zaxcom, and many more (all transmitters as well as additional adapters sold separately). DPA Microphones' adapter system is one of a kind in the industry. It protects your investment in superb sound for years to come.
