The ATW-R5220 from Audio-Technica is a third-generation 5000 Series dual-receiver. It continues to deliver the highest-quality wireless live sound, with dual-compander circuitry that separately processes high and low frequencies, plus True Diversity operation. And now it features a tuning bandwidth of 144 MHz: DF1 470–608 MHz and 657–663 MHz (duplex gap). This particular model is the standard receiver with 2 balanced XLR outputs (also available is the ATW-R5220DAN, which adds a Dante output - sold separately). Other great features include an antenna cascade output that allows the connection of up to 8 receivers (additional receivers sold separately), enabling a single pair of antennas to feed up to 16 channels of wireless, an auto squelch function that automatically adjusts the squelch setting to maximize operating range while minimizing potential interference, plus a backup frequency that can be quickly swapped by simply pressing the transmitter’s multifunction button in the event of unexpected interference. Software enables remote monitoring and control of the wireless system.
