A part of their ETY•Plugs HD series, Etymotic Research's ETY•Plugs® HD are the world's highest definition, highest-fidelity, non-custom earplugs. They're engineered to quiet most noise to safe levels, while still preserving speech clarity as well as environmental sounds. Notably, they're configured to match the natural response of the ear canal, so that when sound comes into the earplug, it's reproduced unchanged – precisely as the ear would hear it – just quieter. This particular package includes a pair of Standard-size ETY•Plugs HD with Frost Tips, plus a pair of Large-size ETY•Plugs HD with White Tips – and handy matching cases.

Regular usage of these high-fidelity earplugs when involved with higher sound-level events will protect hearing from the cumulative effects of overexposure to loud sounds throughout life. Just as a note, acclimation to these earplugs may take a little time.

*NOTE: Everyone's ears are different. It's impossible to predict the size of an ear canal judging by the appearance of the outer ear, or by a person's physical size, age, or gender. ETY•Plugs 2 sizes – between them – fit nearly 100% of ear canals. Recent studies of both fit and seal, conducted at Etymotic Research and an independent lab, showed that the smaller of the 2 sizes fits the majority of ears and is now designated as standard fit.

ETY•Plugs are reusable, but with repeated use, the eartips may lose elasticity, weaken, and break. For best performance and retention, especially if you use your ETY•Plugs constantly, replace them every 3-6 months.
