So much high-end equipment needs phantom power these days, and some mixers that say they give you the full "48V" actually wane from time to time. With Mackie's M48, you will always get a clean, full 48V of power through its XLR ports for the best performance of your equipment. It can be powered by its included DC adapter or you can use a 9V battery for flexibility for use on the road.

Well thought out design. Used it with my Blue Encore 200. Accidentally left it on during testing. LO BAT light on the job, so replaced the 9 Volt battery. Super sturdy case. Great when the system is something like a TOA preamp and has no phantom power. And often there is no outlet near a podium for the wall wart.
