Product Overview

The Apogee SYM2-8X8S2-SG is a part of Apogee's Symphony I/O Mk II system series, with this particular model being a hardware Chassis designed to provide seamless interfacing with the WAVES SoundGrid network, and featuring 8x8 Analog I/O + 8x8 AES/Optical I/O + 2-Ch S/PDIF. It simultaneously provides 16 channels of I/O.

Symphony I/O Mk II's industry-leading sound quality can easily be connected to your computer, shared between multiple rooms and/or multiple computers, plus it can be supercharged with almost infinite real-time DSP power with Waves SoundGrid servers – all via a simple ethernet connection. Symphony I/O Mk II SoundGrid can seamlessly integrate with all DAWs, providing you with endless possibilities and choices for every size of setup for studio, live sound, and post-production workflows.

Featuring Apogee's flagship AD/DA conversion process, Symphony I/O Mk II is a multi-channel audio interface that also comes equipped with modular I/O (up to 32 inputs and outputs), as well as intuitive touchscreen display, and optional world-class microphone preamps (preamps available separately). The ultimate music production centerpiece for any modern studio, it's engineered to provide professional sound quality for audio recording, mixing, and mastering. The Symphony I/O Mk II comes with direct connectivity to one of three different platforms – Thunderbolt™, Pro Tools® HD or Waves SoundGrid® network (this particular product supports the Waves SoundGrid® network, Thunderbolt and Pro Tools HD configurations sold separately).

There's a Symphony I/O Mk II solution that's best for everyone. From home or project studios, on up to commercial recording studios and scoring stages. You can choose from 4 base I/O configurations – 2×6, 8×8, 16×16, or 8×8 – with 8 mic preamps, then easily expand your setup along with your studio as it grows.
