Etymotic Research ERHD-5-SAFETY HD•Safety™ Earplugs + Earphones

Part of their HD•Safety series of high-definition, noise-isolating Safety Earphones, Etymotic Research's HD5 are reduced-output earphones, designed for safe listening while providing superb sound quality. They minimize risk to hearing, regardless of the volume level from portable players. And like earplugs, they block sound to reduce external noise and limit the amount of sound that reaches the eardrum.

Noise Reduction with HD5 Earphones - Use of these earphones with portable music players at full volume is within OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits for time periods up to 10-½ hours per day (52-½ hours per week). Ambient noise levels of up to 108 dB with foam eartips, or up to 102 dB with 3-flange eartips, does not significantly affect overall noise dose.
