Portable and affordable, the AJA ROI-DVI Mini-Converter delivers high quality conversion of computer HDMI and DVI outputs to baseband video over SDI. With image scaling as well as aspect and frame rate conversion complimented with extensive audio functionality, ROI-DVI fulfills the growing need for proper integration of computer signals into the video world with no sacrificing of budget or space. Other product highlights include:
- Region of Interest - This feature lets you extract only the portion of the computer screen you want, eliminating extra interface clutter and menu bars. Interfacing a ROI Mini-Converter via USB to a computer running the free Mini-Config application, gives you interactive Region of Interest selection from the incoming computer signal with full control over the scaling of the selected region on to the output resolution using AJA's high quality scaling algorithms, offering you the cleanest picture quality possible.
- Conversion - On-screen controls in the Mini-Config software let you take full control of aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, showing you exactly how your source and output will appear, and what formats are coming in and going out, and you can you quickly choose the proper output for any situation via simple menu controls.
- Connectivity - ROI can be placed in-line utilizing its direct loop-through, which allows you an external monitor connection while extracting to SDI. The reference input ensures the ROI's SDI output signal SDI is locked for use throughout a production or facility.
- Audio - ROI accepts embedded 8-channel audio from an HDMI input or 2-channel audio from the 3.5mm analog audio input. Audio source and routing is selectable in the Mini-Config software and embedded in the SDI output, which allows embedding of the computer audio within the SDI signal for easy, synchronized routing.
- Universal Power Supply - Includes international plug connections for use around the world.
- Compact and Portable - Small enough to fit behind a monitor, in the back of a rack or directly on a camera rig, it also features a locking power connector that prevents accidental loosening or disconnecting, and an optional P-TAP power cable (sold separately) provides for remote location battery power.
