Product Overview

The MOTU MicroBook IIc is a 4-input, 6-output, bus-powered “plug-and-play” high-speed USB 2.0 audio interface for Mac and Windows – in short, a studio-grade audio interface for personal recording. Compatible with all current and recent generation Macs and PCs, the MicroBook IIc’s Mac and Windows audio drivers (Core Audio, Wave, and ASIO) offer across-the-board compatibility, with additional support for Apple® iPad® and other iOS devices with a camera connection kit that is sold separately.

Building upon the features of its predecessor, highlights of the MicroBook IIc include headphone output with volume control, digital controlled trim for all outputs (and analog inputs), six simultaneous outputs, an XLR mic input, dedicated 3- or 4-segment LED meters for all inputs and outputs, and support for 88.2 and 96kHz recording and playback.

There is also 7-band parametric EQ and compression, an instrument tuner, a test tone and white/pink noise generator, a pre-amp equipped mic input with Precision Digital Trim™ 48V phantom power and -20dB pad, along with the capability as an 8-bus digital mixer to route and mix live inputs with computer tracks.

MOTU’s MicroBook IIc has CueMix™ FX no-latency mixing and monitoring with EQ and dynamics processing, as well as AudioDesk™ - full-featured audio workstation software for Mac OS X and Windows. Lastly, the MicroBook IIc is also equipped with advanced audio analysis software tools, including FFT display, spectrogram “waterfall” display, oscilloscope, X-Y plot, and phase torch. Ideal applications of the MicroBook IIc include live recording, DJing and home studio recording.
