Focal's Alpha speaker line, aimed at musicians and project studios on smaller budgets, is perfectly adapted for confined spaces, and the Alpha 50 is the most compact of the line. The unit's powerful bi-amped design - 20W amplifiers for the tweeter, 35W amplifier for the woofer - delivers high output levels with very low distortion.

The Alpha 50 is composed of a 5” (13cm) woofer/ midrange speaker with a Polyglass cone loaded in a large laminar port and of a 1" (25mm) aluminum inverted dome tweeter. It has a frequency response of 45Hz to 22kHz (+/- 3dB), with the LF response extended by its dual front-firing ports. This reduces boundary coupling, and rubber pads provide vibration isolation for better sonic accuracy.
