The Da-Lite model 28809V is part of the Parallax screen line from Da-Lite which is designed to reject ambient light through implementation of a micro-layered optical lens system which mimics the look of a TV when on and off, but with no glare from ambient lights or windows. Parallax offers exceptionally wide viewing angles, and with no speckle or glare, is ideal for Pro AV applications. With its flexible surface, it transports in a roll and offers easy installation.

Each of the layers present in the Parallax play a role in preserving the image directed to the viewer in settings with high ambient light levels. Some of these layers absorb light, but one special layer is designed with a microscopic saw-tooth shape that blocks light from above, which leads to preservation of bright, high-contrast images shown in brightly-lit situations.
