AJA FiDO-4R 4-Channel LC Optical Fiber to 3G-SDI Converter

The FiDO-4R from AJA is a Quad Optical Fiber to SD/HD/3G-SDI mini converter. The FiDO-4R model offers unmatched flexibility and cost efficiency for SDI-Fiber conversion, allowing for long cable runs up to 32,808-feet (10 km) with electrical isolation - useful for eliminating ground loop problems. This converter will allow conversion of 4K SDI using 4x 3G-SDI transport onto four fiber cables, using a single conversion box at each end. The FiDO-4R uses LC connectors on the fiber side, with dual SFP cages. The FiDO-4R complements the FiDO-4T-ST and FiDO-4R-ST, which offer the same solution in ST connectivity.

FiDO is a family of SDI/Optical Fiber converters that allows the transport of SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G SDI over distances up to 10km using standard single- mode fiber optic cable, with your choice of LC, ST, or SC connectors, depending on the converter model. FiDO converters meet all relevant SMPTE specifications and are rugged, versatile, and suitable for indoor or outdoor use and come in a compact, low-profile enclosure for use in tight spaces around and behind equipment racks, trucks and crowded facilities.
