A switchable passive/bi-amp 1,600 Watt 12" loudspeaker system, the 2-way full range NuQ122-WH from Turbosound is ideally suited for a broad array of speech and music sound reinforcement applications. It's engineered to work in concert with Turbosound's loudspeaker management systems, and provides optimal performance for FOH (front-of-house), side fill and delay line loudspeakers, plus it's an outstanding choice for wedge monitoring applications as well. Its symmetrical, trapezoidal shape and high frequency (HF) dispersion pattern also make it an obvious choice for mirrored left/right monitor wedge positions.
It features a 12" low frequency (LF) driver with a low-mass voice coil for enhanced transient response, along with an aluminium-dome 1" neodymium HF compression driver mounted on a 70° horizontal x 70° vertical dispersion low-distortion waveguide. All the unit's drivers are matched with an internal passive crossover network in a reflex-loaded enclosure, and bi-amp mode is easily engaged via a rear panel switch. The rear panel connector plate also carries Neutrik speakON® NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures (sold separately).
The cabinet comes finished in a highly-durable semi-matte white paint, is constructed from ⅝" (15mm) birch plywood, and includes a rugged, powder coated perforated steel-mesh grille that's backed with reticulated foam. Multiple threaded rigging points are provided for suspension in any orientation, or for mounting with industry-standard wall brackets. An optional flying yoke enables further versatility for installation applications (available separately). It also features a built-in 35mm socket for standard pole-mounting, plus integrated handles for convenient transport.
WARNING! Mounting and/or suspension of loudspeakers should be performed by experienced professionals following all safety protocols. The improper installation of a loudspeaker can result in property damage, personal injury and/or liability to the installing contractor. Proper installation is the responsibility of the person installing it.
