The Panasonic TH-84LQ70U, part of the Panasonic LQ70 Series, is a large and rugged 84" 4K display delivering outstanding picture quality and system expandability.
- Designed with Rugged Durability for Professional Use: The LQ70 Series has 3.5J impact resistant protective glass on the front of the display. Paired with strong resistance to external impacts, this tough design allows safe installation in high traffic areas where many people walk by, such as train stations, airports, and shopping malls. The special frame construction also resists twisting for added reliability during installation. Ideal for rental applications, where the panel may be frequently transported and re-installed.
- Portrait Installation Capability: When the LQ70 Series is installed vertically, it can display a person in almost life-size dimensions. It is also great for digital signage use because it faithfully reproduces textures and colors of a model's clothing and accessories, helping maintain a high-quality brand image. In addition, vertical installation has no effect on the lifetime of the panel.
- High Reliability Enables Continuous 24/7 Operation: In addition to being impact resistant, the LQ Series is capable of constant, 24/7 operation, providing reliable use in public spaces where many people gather, such as airports, train stations, and shopping malls, as well as installation in control rooms. It is also equipped with a variety of input/output terminals for versatile applications.
Excellent 4K Image Quality
- Stunning Panasonic 4K Quality Right Down to the Details: With approximately 8,290,000 pixels, or about 4 times the pixels of a Full-HD display, images are highly detailed. This dynamic, large-screen display archives true-to-life, finely nuanced images. With an optimal viewing distance of 1.5 times the screen height, the 4K display is an excellent choice for meeting rooms. Where images are often viewed up close, and creates impressive ambience in signage applications for commercial facilities, where it can be expected to attract considerable attention. A 3D LUT (Look-Up Table) developed for broadcast monitors also enables stunning color reproduction in places ranging from low to high brightness.
- Non-4K Sources Are Also Beautifully Compensated: Panasonic's new-generation image processing technology (Detail Clarity Processor*3) also reproduces non-4K image content, such as Full-HD images and PC signals, with high picture quality. In addition, it compensates motion images for smooth, non-blurry display, which was difficult with conventional models.
- Various Interfaces for 4K 60p Video Input: The LQ70 Series includes interfaces for 4K60p video input as standard equipment. As well as HDMI video input, it comes with DisplayPort that support 4K60p video. This provides for input from a variety of 4K devices. SDI connection is also possible using an optional 3G-SDI terminal board.
Easy Installation & System Expandability
- Designed for easy transportation and installation: By mounting eyebolts to the installation holes of the LQ70 Series and attaching hooks to these eyebolts, the unit can easily be moved and installed using a hoisting device such as a crane. The resilient frame resists twisting and distortion, thus reducing the burden on installation staff.
- Existing plasma display mounting fixtures can be used: The size and positions of mounting holes on the LQ70 Series are the same as those on a large Panasonic plasma display (103-inch/85-inch model). This enables the use of existing peripheral accessories. When replacing a Panasonic plasma display with the LQ70 Series, the existing mounting fixtures can be used, thus reducing labor and replacement cost.
- Capable of 4-Input Multi Display with no processor required: The LQ70 Series features a 4-Input Multi Display function. The image can be switched from a full-screen display to a 4-Input Multi Display with a single press of a remote control button. Ideal for checking details in various applications, such as videoconferences, digital signage, and surveillance monitoring.
- SLOT NX Versatile 4K Input: The SLOT NX makes it possible to change the interface to match the application. If the optional 3G-SDI Terminal Board is mounted, the LQ70 Series can be connected with SGI. This feature is convenient for use in broadcasting stations, for rental use and for long-distance connection. The LQ70 Series is expandable and will accommodate 4K input in the future.

- The beautiful 4K large screen provides sharp real-life images. Color temperature can be set from 3000K to 11500K. And an optional terminal board enables SDI connection, ideal for broadcast station or studio use.

- The large-screen display provides clear visibility even for meetings with a lot of people attending, and high-definition images are ideal for design and simulation use.

- Built-in Speaker
- The 20W (10 W + 10 W) speakers are built into the rear of the display. There is no need for external speakers when using content that has a soundtrack.
- *Note: For higher volume sound, use an external audio output and more powerful speakers.
- Local Dimming Function
- This function controls the LED backlight intensity of particular parts of the displayed image. This significantly increases the contrast ration of a certain area of the screen image.
- Screen Saver
- The screen saver reduces the afterimages that can occur when continuously displaying still images or 4:3 images for long periods of time.
- Light Sensor for ECO
- The backlight brightness is automatically adjusted according the viewing environment. This feature can help reduce power consumption.

- Input Search
- When there is no signal, the specified input signal is automatically switched.
- Early Warning Software Compatibility (ET-SWA100 [optional])
- Optional ET-SWA100 Early Warning Software (sold separately-contact your Full Compass Sales Professional for more information) lets you check the status of system equipment with a tablet or PC located at a distance from the monitoring server. This helps to quickly solve any problems that might occur.
- Automatic Picture Position
- Simply press the Auto Setup key on the remote control to position the picture. This function automatically corrects the horizontal and vertical picture positions, the Clock Phase, and the Dot Clock when an RGB signal is input. The adjustment results in optimal standard values for horizontal and vertical picture sizes.
- *Note: When digital RGB signal input, Dot Clock, and Clock Phase cannot be made.
- Tamper-Resistant Settings
- You can prevent operating errors in public places by making tamper-resistant settings in advance.
- Button Lock: Restricts the button operations for the display.
- Control User Level: Restricts the key operations for the remote control.
