Product Overview

The American Power Conversion P11VNT3 APC Performance 11-outlet 120V SurgeArrest offers surge protection for computers, notebooks, and other electronics. Includes a 6 ft network cable, coaxial cable, telephone cable and a user manual.

The APC SurgeArrest® Performance series offers their highest level of power surge protection for your professional computers, electronics and connected devices, as well as providing surge protection for all of your data lines. The P11VNT3 model offers a 3020 joule rating, 11 outlets (six are block-spaced) and a 180 degree rotating eight foot power cord. Network, telephone and coax cable line surge suppression jacks are available to protect against dangerous surges traveling along data lines.

Multi-Stage Surge Protection circuitry ensures protection that is guaranteed for life. All three power modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) are protected. Reliable thermal fusing helps ensure safe operation under all conditions.

Noise Filter reduces Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) to help avoid equipment lock-up.

Ethernet, coaxial cable and phone line protection ensures complete protection of your equipment from surges. It is very important to protect your equipment from “back door” electric surges traveling through data lines, as they can be as damaging to your equipment as

surges traveling over power lines.

Safety-Agency Approved means the product has been tested and approved to work safely with the connected service provider equipment and within the specified environment. UL, FCC approvals. Listed to UL1449 3rd Edition standard by CSA.

I bought this because the Coax ports supposedly only let through 52 volts out of a 600V test surge, according to an article jointly published by Ars Technica and Wirecutter. That's a better reduction than anything else I can find on the market, including commercial-grade coax surge protectors from Ditek and military-grade units from Nextek! However the telephone outlets offer NO protection according to the article, letting through ALL 600 volts! The AC outlets reduced it to 190V above normal.
