Audio-Technica AT8024 Stereo / Mono Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone

A fixed-charge condenser microphone designed for use with DSLR and other video cameras, the AT8024 Stereo/Mono Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone from Audio-Technica provides you with a simple-yet-powerful solution for capturing high-resolution audio for video. The selectable line-cardioid mono and internally-matrixed mid-side stereo modes are one of the mic's main features, allowing you to switch focus to capture either a single sound source or a wider audio field for remarkable sonic realism. In either mode, it delivers audio that's considerably superior to that supplied by the camera’s onboard internal mic.

It also features a 3-position adjustable input pad (-20 / -10 / 0dB) for pickup of both soft and loud bits of sound without distortion, plus a switchable low-frequency (LF) roll-off reduces pickup of undesired ambient noise, room reverberation and mechanically-coupled vibrations. It's powered by a single AA battery, performs with a high maximum SPL (sound pressure levels), and features an integral camera shoe-mount.
