I lover the age of Ethernet. I can send audio, video and now lighting commands from anywhere in the building. I was in needed DMX at the stage, but none was available - only Ethernet. I pondered installing a DMX jack but too costly so I tried this 5 pin to RJ45 adapter. It works perfectly. I can set the lighting board up in the control room or have an AV Tech in the room controlling the lights. I give it 5 stars because it works perfectly and it is well constructed.
