Ace Backstage 104DDBBXW 12" Doubled Deep Back Box with Poly Encapsulation

Polyurethane encapsulated back boxes are available to provide extra protection from incursion of moisture and water by sealing seams, knock-outs, and holes. Using Ace Backstage's double deep, double zinc plated back boxes (DDBBXW), a 1/16” thick jacket of polyurethane is applied to the exterior sides and bottom of the back boxes, permanently bonding with surfaces to form a moisture resistant seal. The polyurethane back box provides protection against harsh climate, chemicals, impact and abrasion.

The Ace Backstage 104DDBBXW double deep back box is twice as deep (12”) as Standard BBX Series Back Boxes (6”) and may be used exclusively with Ace Backstage's Full and Double Wide Stage Pockets. The 104DDBBXW Double Deep Back Box features welded 14 gauge steel with a protective cover that is discarded when the pocket body is finally installed. The box and cover have a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish. A 1/2” mounting flange is predrilled to mate with the pocket body flange. The pocket body assembly is 4.5” deep and the back box is 12” deep providing an extra-large 7.5” work clearance in the bottom of the back box (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction).

The clearance volume (volume between bottom of pocket body and bottom of the double deep back box) is 1308 cubic inches. ACE Polyurethane encapsulated Double Deep Back Boxes come with standard Electrical Conduit Combination 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, and 1-1/4” Knock Outs, 4 places typical on opposing sides and Electrical Conduit Combination 1/2” and 3/4” Knock Outs, 2 places typical on opposing sides.
