Product Overview
The ATW-1702 system is part of the Audio-Technica System 10 Camera-Mount series, and consists of an ATW-R1700 receiver plus an ATW-T1002 handheld dynamic cardioid microphone/transmitter. Each System 10 Camera-Mount includes a camera shoe-mount along with the receiver and transmitter. There's also a complete system (ATW-1701/P, sold separately) with lavalier microphone or (ATW-1701, also sold separately) with just the bodypack transmitter and no microphone.

Like all of the items in the System 10 digital wireless product line, the Camera-Mount provides instantaneous channel selection, sync and setup, which make it extremely easy to use, while its digital 24-bit/48 kHz wireless operation delivers ultimate sound quality and reliable performance. Because the receiver operates in the 2.4GHz range, it remains completely free from TV interference at all times. The system's receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display, and ensure clear communications by providing 3 levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space.
- Frequency Diversity sends the signal on 2 dynamically-allocated frequencies for interference-free communication.
- Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference.
- Space Diversity uses 2 discreet antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity.
