Technomad 1595 Breakout Box XL for PowerChiton

The BreakoutBox XL from Technomad is designed to work with their PowerChiton line of amplifiers (all sold separately). Part of their BreakoutBox series, it provides a local interface within a low profile and weatherproof enclosure. It includes a mono, 4-input audio mixer with a combo microphone / balanced input along with 3 line-level inputs. Additionally there's a ¼" TRS/XLR combo jack for microphone and balanced line input included on the input surface. There's also an unbalanced ¼" jack as well, plus there are 3 expansion bays along with the ¼" TRS/XLR combo input. The 1/4? unbalanced input is paralleled with one expansion bay.

The lockable box provides secure storage of wired mic or similar accessories.

Application Notes:

In a typical application, the PowerChiton is installed on a lighting pole, connected to AC power supplied by the pole.  The PowerChiton drives a cluster of up to three loudspeakers.  The Breakout Box is wired to the PowerChiton via the umbilical cable, with the BoB installed at eye-level on the pole for easy access..

A coach or other user can walk up to the BreakoutBox, unlock it and immediately make announcements via the microphone or play music by connecting an iPod or similar source.

Together, the BreakoutBox series and PowerChiton eliminate the need for a dedicated equipment room or press box.  A complete PA system can be installed ‘naked’ on an outdoor structure or post, ready for use at a moments notice.
