The GefenToolBox HDKVM ELR is designed to extend HDMI, USB 2.0, Ethernet, and IR from a home theater multimedia PC that can be located up to 330 feet (100 meters) away. The Receiver unit allows the connection of HDMI and two USB devices, providing access to printers, scanners, cameras, external storage media, digital signage, and automated control systems in addition to the display. This product uses Gefen ELR (Extra Long Range) technology, supporting HDBaseT® specifications, allowing transmission of HDMI and IR signals along the same CAT-5 cable. USB 2.0 is extended over the second CAT-5 cable. The Ethernet ports on both Sender and Receiver units connect to network devices.
Place the HDKVM ELR Sender unit next to the PC source. Use the included HDMI cable to connect the PC source to the Sender unit. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the PC source to the Sender unit. Connect the Receiver unit to the HDTV display with an HDMI cable. Connect the USB devices to the Receiver unit. Use two CAT-5 cables, up to 330 feet (100 meters), to connect the Sender unit to the Receiver unit. Connect an IR Blaster from the Sender unit to the Hi-Def source to control the source from the viewing location. Connect an IR Extender cable from the Receiver unit to the Hi-Def source to extend the IR Control. The IR signals are sent back to the source device. Connect the Ethernet port on both the Sender and Receiver to standard network devices. Connect the included locking power supplies to the Sender and Receiver units, and the power supplies to any available electrical outlets.
